In 1967 Christos Misopoulos, a Greek born and raised in Constantinople (Istanbul) came to Thessaloniki, Greece with a dream to make a better life for himself after growing up in an orphanage. In his new motherland, he met Elisavet Papadopoulou also of a Greek descent from Asia minor and gotten married bringing 2 children in the world; Ioannis and Konstantia. The Misopoulos family from its humble beginnings had always a goal to build a guest house where the warm family hospitality and comfort would be the core of what every guest would expect from us.
In the middle of 2011 our family built the Athos Bay Villa, a complex that used Ioannis’ experiences as a world traveler addressing the needs that every guest would look during his/her stay paying attention to comfort, amenities and being friendly to the environment. And to honor the place where our property is situated, we couldn’t name it anything else but Athos Bay Villa because it sits on top of a hill overlooking the Athonic Bay. As a family-owned and operated business, we have the unique opportunity to maintain a consistent vision, mission and set of values.
